THE FINE PRINT

Commission orders are only accepted on the assumption that the customer has read, understood, and agreed to all terms and
conditions as
listed on this webpage.

All orders (ie: type of piece, color and markings), need to be pre-approved.

Time payments are encouraged: deposit,  half down prior to start, remainder due at completion.

No trades at this time.

Payment is to be made by US Postal Service Money Order or PayPal only, to ZornArt@AOL.com

BOOKING AND DEPOSITS
A deposit of $50.00 is required to book each painting slot. Painting slots deposits are non-refundable.

PREPPING:
All pieces must be already professionally prepped and primered in white spray primer or white spray gesso ONLY.

Gina Hyatt can prep your models for you. Please contact her directly at marshgmh@aol.com.

I will gladly accept work from other professional preppers such as Elizabeth Simpson, Betty Hook, or Carla Miller. The prepper is ultimately your choice,
but I cannot guarantee paint work over the work of an unknown  prepper. Also, please do be aware that I am extremely picky and if additional prep work
is required, it will be billed at $35 an hour/portion thereof.

CUSTOMIZING and REPAIR
Minor customization (gender, manes, tails) is available.
I’m sorry, but no longer do drastic customization to order.
I’m sorry, but I do not paint pieces customized by other artists.
I will repair legs, ears, tails, etc. on resins that are to be painted by me.

STARTING THE PAINT WORK
Half the total payment (not including shipping fees) must be received prior to any work being done.

    • if you need to postpone your slot, you may be moved to the end of the current list.

COMPLETION
    • Completion time can run 3-8 months, depending on the complexity of your piece. I paint in many layers of quality paints, pastels, and
pencils/charcoals, and sealants; each layer requiring considerable drying time that cannot be rushed. I cannot guarantee finishing a piece based
on a tight show schedule. If speed is of the essence, there are some really good artists out there who have better turnaround time than I do. :)

    • You will be given a “heads-up” that your piece is nearing completion.

    • Pictures will be emailed to you for your approval upon completion.

    • Final payment MUST be made within 2 weeks of notification of completion/acceptance or the piece will be placed up for sale  (see below).

    • Model will be shipped after final payment clears.

CANCELLATIONS
    • All commission projects are subject to a nonrefundable $50 fee.

    • Work-In-Progress will not be sent out. I reserve the option to keep the piece in progress; and at my discretion, get you a new resin, or refund
you the price of the resin based on current market prices.

    • I reserve the right to cancel and refund any commission project at any time.

SHIPPING
    • All shipping is done via USPS, priority and insured, at purchaser’s cost.  The price given to ship  may not be exactly the same as the actual
postage, I do my best to keep it in the ballpark.

    • I cannot be held responsible for the piece after USPS pickup.

    • Keep all shipping materials until you determine that your piece has arrived safely. If damage occurs, I will assist you in filing your claim.

    • International shipping is subject to an additional handling fee.

MISCELLANEOUS

Price Quotes are only good for 15 days.

Minors must have a legal guardian make commission arrangements. No commissions will be accepted from minors without this written consent.

Portraits are to be considered artistic likenesses, not photographic copies. You must send photographs or color prints of your horse accurately
representing its and markings. If poor quality photographs are sent, I can only do my best.

Copying Work: I will not copy the work of other artists. As far as my own work, I can make "similar" pieces to what I have done in the past; however, my
abilities and finishwork techniques are constantly changing. :)

Communication:

Currently, I only have access to high speed internet a few times a week. I monitor my email daily from a handheld, though. Unfortunately, I do not
have a camera in my studio for "in progress" pictures.

I do suggest that each customer supply a phone number. I absolutely will NOT call you unless there is an urgent reason, nor will I give out your
number.  I am not a phone person myself, and do not like to be bothered, either.  If this is a problem for you, we can work around it. :)

Yahoo Group: I highly encourage all commission customers to join my Yahoo Group, in the event I need to do a mass communication in a hurry.

Non-Payment:

If you have not either booked a slot, or made the half-payment on your models, your model(s) will be returned to you USPS Collect On Delivery
    at my discretion.

If your completed model remains unpaid after 21 business days from when you are notified of completion, your model will be put up for sale
at a starting a price which reflects only what I am owed for my paint work. I will not be held responsible for the original price/value of the model.

Free Scratch Touchups are available for original owners for the first year (not including shipping). This does not include breakage, damage from
heat, or damage from your packing materials such as tissue or bubblewrap: a very nominal fee will apply in these situations.

Photographs: My photographs may not be used to resell a model, as it may have changed since I photographed it.  I retain the right to use
photographs for promotional materials.

Your Satisfaction is Important!
I will work with you to insure your complete satisfaction with your purchase! No refunds. Please feel free to check for my references on MHHR, click Here

Finishwork Services

Pieces are finished in high quality mixed media with a variety of techniques: acrylics by airbrush and hand,
pigment dust/pastels, pencils, and charcoal.

Please note that bodies, prepping and postage are extra!

All prices are individually determined.

Your satisfaction is extremely important, and I will do what I can to assure this. "LSQ" cannot be guaranteed by
any artist; however, my work has taken many championships in breed and workmanship at shows across the
country, including many Top Tens and Championships at NAN 2008.

All commission projects assume customer has read, understood, and agreed to this entire webpage.
